| Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osborne..... | | My son recently started listening to the old Black Sabbath music and Ozzy Osborne. Can someone tell me if I should be worried? I mean, just the name of the band is enough to worry me, and I don't like to go by looks, but c'mon...Ozzy looks scary. I've heard how he talks and his vocabulary was and is very limited, it seems (to vulgar language and etc.). What DOES the name Black Sabbath imply? Did they come by it in some particular way or it was just to sound as rebellious as they possibly could? | |
| | Who was the first METAL band....Led Zepplin or Black Sabbath? | | I wanted to do something fun for a change...I had this discussion with my sons when we studied the History of Rock and Roll. Who was the first Heavy Metal band? They say...Black Sabbath as they are all die hard Ozzy fans.
I say...Led Zepplin as Jimmy Page is the greatest guitarist in the world. What do you say? | |

| | Black Sabbath-->>pioneer of heavy metal? | | Ahhh..Black Sabbath, what can i say? I suppose they are one of the best band ever born in this planet.. Sabbath is even considered as on of the pioneers of the heavy metal genre along with Led Zeppilin, etc. Sabbath has their own style of music. At the time when bands were heavily into peace and love, Sabbath set itself apart with their music. Sabbath has four founding members: Ozzy Osbourne(vocals), Tony Iommi(guitars), Geezer Butler(bass), and Bill Ward(drums). There have been personnel changes over the past years but the band still progressed. I think Ozzy Osbourne is the best front man Sabbath has ever had. Ozzy's wild onstage theatrics helped set the stage for today's shock rock artists. We owe Sabbath what we know as heavy metal of today. I'm writing this as a tribute to their contribution to the music industry and for starting the heavy metal genre! Rock On! This is for all the rockers out their who knows and appreciates Black Sabbath...:) | |
