I was never a huge fan of his but some songs were okay and then his last to me was pretty good. The song can be so true when you break up with someone and are still in love with them I love the chorus of dial 6 numbers to hang up the phone, drive across town just to see if she's home, waking a friend in the dead of the night just to hear him say its going to be alright I love that part. And the part about getting down on his knees and begging God please. What a wonderful song! | |

The last I saw of him was a while ago on Oprah with Trisha Yearwood and he was saying he was semi retired until his kids were grown up a bit more (but I think everyone knew he would not be able to stay retired for long, THE MAN IS MUSIC!). And if you had to pick 1 artist as your favorite who would it be and why!? My favorite I think would be Martina Mcbride. She has an amazing voice and sings songs with meaning. She has songs on anything love,heartbreak, hope, etc. I just love that I can always pick one of her CDs and turn it on and be moved.:-) | |
