Do u like Country music?
Who is your favorite singer?
Twenty years opening up for Monday Night Football!
Yes that is right! Bocephus is in his 20th season of opening up for Monday Night Football! Around 1992 or 1994,I don't reember,ABC tried having a different artist open up for Monday Night Football! It bombed after tons of fans like me complained to Mnday Night Football! I'll say this,it would not be the same if Hank Williams Jr. wasn't doing it! I hope he does it as long as he can! I love that he does it! Always will!
The Rebel Flag and Joe Wilson
With the talk of Joe Wilson and former President Jimmy Carter calling him a racist I looked for some info on the flag because of some comments here and in the media.First some quotes from Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_the_Confederate_States_of_America"The Confederate FlagThe "Confederate Flag", a 20th century combination of the Battle Flag's colors with the Second Navy Jack's design. Actual historical flags of the CSA have become more obscure. What is now often called "The Confederate Flag" or "The Confederate Battle Flag" (actually a combination of the battle flag's colors with the Second Navy Jack's design), despite its never having historically represented the CSA as a nation, has become a widely recognized symbol of the South. It is also called the "rebel", "Southern Cross, or "Dixie" flag, and is often incorrectly referred to as the "Stars and Bars" (the actual "Stars and Bars" is the First National Flag, which used an entirely different design). During the first half of the 20th century the Confederate flag enjoyed renewed popularity. During World War II some U.S. military units with Southern nicknames, or made up largely of...
All My Rowdy Friends ..LOL..And To Those Who Arn't
The above ( for those who don't know the song ) is of corse from a Hank Williams Jr. song. But more to the point, I have missed talking to everyone here and truly appreciate that I too have been missed by a few. Life has been more hectic than I can even describe. First was getting my Daughter into school, the Grant process is a nightmare but we 2,000.00 later we finally did it. Second thing going on, my Husband and I purchased a mobil home this month. Just a little two bedroom on a half acre that we are remodling to sell. We bought it at a great price and hopfully will make about 15,000.00 in 5 or 6 months. Thirdly, my PC tried to crash on me last night. Geeeez. That's all I need. I got "The Blue Screen" Fatal Exception thing. I'm afraid to do much now online untill I get this sorted out. My PC is kinda old, about 5 years, so I have to be carefull and need to do some updates and try a new Anti Virus as well. I may have to install a new hard drive, memory yadda yadda and start over. And last but not least, my little "adopted Son" who lives nearby is taking up a good bit of my time. He was left by his Mother at birth to live with his aging Grandparents and I guess has...
Is the Confederate Flag...racist?
According to my quick Wiki search Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina flags are inspired by the Confederate flag. Here is a link with image of the Confederate flag (think blue 'crossed suspenders'):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Battle_flag_of_the_US_Confederacy.svgMaryland is one of my neighboring states and its actually very common to see trucks with Confederate flags going across their back windows as they roar down the road and some even circle around more than once with it very visible, I can't help wondering what statement their trying to make and would rather they keep their flags at home. Here is what wiki says:What is now often called "The Confederate Flag" or "The Confederate Battle Flag" (actually a combination of the battle flag's colors with the Second Navy Jack's design),despite its never having historically represented the CSA as a nation, has become a widely recognized symbol of the South. It is also called the "rebel" or "Dixie" flag, and is often incorrectly referred to as the "Stars and Bars" (the actual "Stars and Bars" is the First National Flag, which used an entirely different design)."During the...
OMGQ!! I'm Even More Famous than I thought!
Yesterday, I was at home, minding my own business, when the phone rang. It was Bocephus, a.k.a., Hank Williams, Jr. He wanted me to do something for him. I tried to talk to him, but he practically ignored me and just kept on talking. He was very excited. I listened as patiently as I could, but he just kept blabbering, and I was very busy, so I had to hang up.After he called, several U.S. Senators, and Senator wannabees called me. Sheesh! Can't I have any privacy? As if that wasn't bad enough, this afternoon, John McCain calls. He wanted my help. Sheesh. As if I don't have enough going on!! Then, this evening, as I was settling in for the night, who should call but Sarah Palin. That's right, Sarah called me. She wanted favors as well. They all did. Every one of them wanted my influence and power. Sheesh! Can't these people do anything on their own? I mean, really, can't I get a freakin' break, here?Have you been experiencing these same problems, lately? I mean, really, I thought that I had gotten away from this sort of thing, but they always manage to track me down and drag me back in. I suspect that they paid a pretty penny for someone at the phone company to give out...
Anybody here like the old country music singers?
I grew up on country music and still listen to it regularly even though I also listen to other types of music these days. I still enjoy hearing the old singers and songs. I like the newer stuff, but sometimes I'm in the mood for some twang!Do any of you like:George Jones Tammy Wynett Loretta Lynn Merlle Haggard Hank Williams Hank Williams Jr.Or any of the others?
