| Gunpowder and Lead | | I really love this song! I know some people won't like it because it's about a woman shooting a guy who beat her up. I remember the uproar from some fronts when the Dixie Chicks came out with the song Earl, which was about the same thing. But, I think they are both cool songs.The song is by Miranda Lambert if you want to look it up and check out the lyrics. The beat of the song is pretty good also. Listen to it if you can. | |

| Anyone else going to Toby Keith Friday nite in Indy? | | My mom has been taking me to a lot of country concerts lately. We just went to Kenny Chesney and now Toby Keith. I'm not really a big Toby Keith fan, but I told her I would go. It's me, my sister, my mom, my aunt, and her son. My mom bought expensive tickets thru a broker, we have 10th row, left side of stage. I hope I'm not bored out of my mind! He does have Miranda Lambert w/him though, I like her. I've heard he puts on a good show, so maybe it won't be a total bummer....I didn't think I would enjoy KISS either and I loved them!! I've seen them again since then! | |
| | Mirandas New Album | | I just wanna say that, at first listen to Miranda's new album, Crasy Ex-Girlfriend, one would thing that she is just that. Three minutes into the album, she has already shot and killed her abusive boyfriend. We then swing into the very bluegrassy "Dry Town". I really think the song "Famous in a Small Town" really shows off Miranda's raw talent. On into the album, "More like her" and "Easy from now on" show a soft side of Miranda. Then again, you have the title track "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Is it guilty in here" that show off a wild side. This album definatly gets 4 stars, and definatly a recommended buy. | |

| | What's the deal with violent womens' country songs? | | My wife and I started discussing this the other night, mostly being silly, but there does seem to be a trend: Women country singers have a lot of pent-up anger or soemthing.I'll just give you a few: "Goodbye Earl" (Dixie Chicks), "Before He Cheats" (Carrie Underwood), "Kerosene" and "Gunpowder & Lead" (Miranda Lambert):: Have fun and find some more!Is there some backlash against the "old boy's club" mentality here? Is it just country music? Do female rappers, for instance, get violently even with men in their songs? | |

| Does country music depress you? I love country music. | | Country music is my favorite. A Mississippi girl don't change her ways. Just had to throw that one in. I absolutely love country music and have had people tell me that it depresses them and makes them sad. Does it make you feel that way? I will admit that there are a few country songs that might make you sad. But when you hear a song like Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead" does that depress you? Some country songs are so upbeat and just make you want to dance and dance. At least some of them make me feel that way. Share with me how you feel about country music. Please. | |
