| Stevie Wonder ruined American Idol for me last night | | I was watching American Idol last night, and I was eagerly awaiting Stevie Wonder. In the middle of his medley, he shrieks, "I love you Barack Obama!" Guess Obama is a fan of American Idol. Or it could because Mr. Wonder just got an award from the White House. Either way, it's irritating that I can't even enjoy a tv show without having Obama's name uttered. Ugh!! | |
| | Stevie Wonder: A Great Musician | | I was fascinated with Stevie Wonder when he made a duet with Paul McCartney to sing the great hit Ebony And Ivory sometime in early 1980s. I do really like their rendition of the song as much as I like the song very much. The duet of Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder is just a perfect combination for the song "Ebony And Ivory ".
Another great hit made by Stevie Wonder which I like so much is the song "I Just Called To Say I Love You". Stevie Wonder interpreted the song so beautifully. The music gives me a very nice mood. This will be among the best songs that graced my adult life.Truly Stevie Wonder is a very talented musician. He is not only a singer with a very fine quality voice but he is a very brilliant composer inspite of his blindness. He composed many of his songs. I consider him a musical genius who can play lots of musical instruments. Stevie Wonder is one great musician who has graced the American music lovers with fine and quality music. How about you? | Stevie Wonder then and now | | Do you like Stevie's older stuff or his recent songs better? Let me say first off that I am a huge fan and think he is one of the most prolific songwriters to ever come along but somehow his songs haven't been the same for me in the last decade or so. The stuff I like I feel is timeless but some of the things I have heard in recent years just don't have that same feel, you know what I mean? But then again, songwriting isn't what it used to be.I love songs like Don't You Worry Bout A Thing, If It's Magic, All in Love is Fair, If You Really Love Me, Knocks Me Off My Feet and Overjoyed. In the last decade or so I've only liked one or two songs and I can't even think of the names of them right now. I definitely like the classic stuff best. | |
